What’s the one thing you think you should be doing more of, or that you wish you had more time to be doing?
Travel. I want to see the world with my own eyes, to be able to live in the moment, be a little more spontaneous and adventurous, taking in the sights, sounds, weather and culture. I like this quote by Saint Augustine: “The world is a book, and those who do not travel only read a page.” With that being said, travel only when budget permits!

What do you think are some wardrobe staples that everyone should own?
Basic tops in black, white, grey and navy are must-haves, because you can never go wrong with these colours. I also believe in owning at least two pairs of fitted jeans and comfy sneakers for mix-and-match weekends. For ladies, a little black dress is definitely a key staple to be paired with classic heels. On days when I can ditch my heels and give my feet a little TLC, I’ll embrace my trusty ballet pumps.

When I’m feeling overwhelmed:
I indulge in my two guilty pleasures: shopping and eating. Nothing beats retail therapy and some sweet treats to make my day a lil’ better.

Best decision ever:
To travel solo to London for two weeks. I badly needed a break and a long holiday far away from home seemed like the perfect idea. I booked a flight to a part of the world I’d never been to, booked an Airbnb apartment, lugged a 28-inch suitcase, got a data plan, came up with a really sketchy itinerary, and off I went. I’m always a planner but I decided for once in my life to just go with the flow of things, like deciding what I want to do on that morning of the day itself. It was definitely a life-changing and empowering experience that made me realise how independent and strong I could be. So if you ask me if I’d ever do it again—hell yeah!

I collect paper bags.
I’m a sucker for paper bags of all shapes, sizes, colours, designs and brands. If I see a paper bag that I’d like to add to my stash, I’ll sheepishly—but occasionally shamelessly—ask my family, friends and colleagues for it. No prizes for guessing what will land on your head when you open my wardrobe!
