When I’m feeling overwhelmed…
I tend to work out more to vent pent-up frustration but I also indulge in chocolate ice cream.
If you could live in a TV show, what would it be and why?
As of now, The Legend of the Blue Sea—a Korean drama where love sparked between a mermaid and a human. I like how courageous the mermaid was in leaving behind everything she had ever known for an adventure on earth. I also like the idea of living in the deep blue sea where you can swim around the world and of course, how her tears turn into pearls—who can ever have enough of them! (laughs)
My most memorable trip was to the Sichuan province of China.
Jiuzhaigou was beautiful and scenic, and so was Huanglong, Sichuan. There were colourful lakes with snow-capped mountains in the background. The food was wonderfully affordable as well.
I would tell my younger self:
You are answerable to only yourself so don’t worry about what people may think, and don’t be afraid to explore things on your own.
What’s the one thing you think you should be doing more of, or that you wish you had more time to be doing?
Learning more of the dialects that we have here in Singapore. But of course, let’s start with getting my Mandarin up to speed first! (laughs)
Amanda was previously seen here.
