The first word that comes to mind when seeing Adeline’s outfit is “comfort”, which she says is one of her key considerations when selecting pieces of clothes to buy, along with versatility, fit and quality. An outfit of a tee, a pair of basic jeans and white sneakers is foolproof, but Adeline adds a twist to hers with a knit top that has an asymmetrical hemline and a high neckline. She works in the fashion industry, and it seems that having a job in fashion runs in her blood; Adeline’s elder brother is the owner of his own menswear label, Coupé-Cousu. Her time in the industry has taught her many lessons, but one that stands out is this: ”I always make it a point to remember my small beginnings and journeys so that it makes me more appreciative of what I do and have achieved.” But, if given the chance to do anything she could if she wanted to, Adeline would love to open her own book cafe by day that transforms into a bar with a live band by night, either in Singapore or Seoul.
