I was previously a dog groomer.
I had a pet shop where I groomed dogs. I took courses for it in the United States, and was there for about three years. I wanted to do something more exciting, so I sold my business and before switching to a corporate sales role.

How do you like your job thus far?
I love it, I’ve been doing it for 10 years. We’re an international company with growing presence in Singapore, so we’re working on some exciting stuff in this region now.

If you had all the time in the world to do anything at all, what would it be and why?
Travelling. I’d like to visit South Africa, Puerto Rico, and Japan, which is my all-time favourite. I think they offer a diversity of cultures that are very different from that in Singapore.

My most memorable travel experience:
I like Japan very much—in terms of food, culture and fashion, everything just comes together for me. But I think Lijiang in China is an underrated destination; it’s actually a very beautiful place. The food is good as well and it’s not too expensive. I think a lot of people would choose Italy or Europe, but for me, those are pretty much run-of-the-mill destinations. Although I enjoy going there, I’d also want to experience something different. Lijiang is a place with ethnic minorities, so I did a lot of local sight-seeing tours when I was there.
