As a former fashion model and stylist, Rebecca knows how to walk the talk. “My personal style is quite diverse,” she says. “I watch trends and go with styles that work for my body shape. I’m adventurous with patterns and colour but for my daily looks I tend to stick to monochromatic tones.” At work, Rebecca’s looks range from high end corporate to relaxed feminine looks for a more casual day, but makes sure that when it comes to meeting clients, she pays attention to the overall presentation. “It’s not only about the clothes — I look for the finer details in everything, including styled hair, a manicure, and a fabulous pair of shoes.” Rebecca’s job now entails her to do everything from client liaison, to interiors, marketing, and property sales. “I love the knowledge and growth that my job allows,” she says. “The team I’m involved with operates as a unit so encouragement is always at the top of the list, and being creative and working in fantastic teams is always something that has attracted me.” While Rebecca says that she works long hours and her work commitments get greater, she believes in quality time, not quantity. “When I do see friends for coffee or dinner, we make sure our phones and devices stay in our bags! It crucial to really spend time listening to your friends and family to keep the connection strong.” On the side, Rebecca has also been teaching etiquette and fashion styling to various school students in her hometown in Perth. “This is a real passion of mine — working with teens and seeing them enjoy fashion and styling rather than being daunted by the whole idea of it.” What is some advice she has then, when it comes to dressing for work? “Sneakers are for the gym! Don’t wear them with your work outfit,” she says. “My biggest piece of advice for power dressing is to find a good tailor. They will be able to cinch in the waist on a blazer and ensure that the trouser is the right length and fit, which is crucial to the overall look.”
