Different Matters

If you could do anything else other than what you’re currently doing, what would you do?
I want to be a teacher! I actually taught a lot when I was in university and I really enjoy teaching. There’s a great sense of satisfaction when your students tell you that they did very well and then thank you. However, when I was younger, I wanted to be a farmer! (laughs) I used to play this farming game and I loved it!

Do you see yourself switching careers in the next few years then?
Yes, but I’d like to learn more about audit first. There are a lot more things for me to learn and more industries for me to explore. I mean, we’re all still young. I thought I could maybe work a bit harder and push myself a little bit more and then find my passion.

If you could master a skill you currently don’t have now, what would it be and why?
Does cooking count? Well, I can cook but not very well. I’d like to cook for people I love. I used to invite my friends over and I’d cook a lot of funny things. It’s not something I’m good at but it’s something fun and it brings everyone together. 

If you could bring three things to a deserted island, what would they be and why?
I’d definitely bring my dog, a pillow, and a GoPro camera. I’m really attached to my dog. When I travel for work, I miss my dog the most! A pillow for sleeping, and a GoPro to capture different moments.

What’s one thing you wish you had more time to spend doing?
Pottery! I took up a trial class with my friend earlier this year, and it’s something I’m really interested in and would really want to learn. The formation of your end product is up to you, and just the slightest touch can change the entire shape. It’s just a different form of expression.
