If you could move somewhere to live for the rest of your life, where would it be and why?
Idealistically, I would say Auroville and be part of the realisation of human unity. However, I don’t mind settling for an apartment near my office so that I can have an extra hour of sleep every day.

My Plan-B, ‘if-all-else-fails’ career choice:
Advertising is actually kind of like my Plan B. I was torn between doing music and design initially. Somewhere along in life, I realised that I’m not so good with music performances. Nonetheless, I still enjoy playing my instrument and doing music arrangements for my ensemble as a hobby during my free time.

Tell us about a recent dream.
I recently dreamt that I was back at Tekong for reservist. To my surprise, my Chief Creative Officer was there, dressed in the No. 4 uniform. It was really weird because he’s from New Zealand—a dream being a dream, everything is incoherent. So there he was, sitting at a table doing his work on his Macbook. He told me he happened to be the duty officer that week and in the context of the dream, an agency has to send a Creative Director over to Tekong for duty every week. Strange.

What’s a dish that best describes you and why?
Mala Hot Pot? I’m not bad at many things yet I’m not particularly good at anything. Just like Mala Hot Pot—it tastes good with all the different ingredients together, but they’re pretty bland when eaten separately.

If you could be a member of any TV-sitcom family, who would it be?
Peter Griffin from Family Guy. He seems to be forever carefree. He has an annoying laugh too.
