I’ve been working in banking and finance for about four years now, but I was studying communications and media before this.
I took up some internships and discovered I did pretty well in this field, and different opportunities led me to where I am.

What’s a common misconception people have about your line of work?
That it’s very glamorous, but we actually have to grind as hard as everyone else. One challenge is having to constantly stay up to date with current events because that affects investments, which is my area of focus.

What do you do outside of work?
I’m a typical girl—I love to eat, hang out with friends, and travel. The most interesting place I’ve been to would be Ibiza; it was extremely picturesque and fulfilled my bucket list goal of swimming in completely clear waters.

What are some movies you can re-watch again and again?
All of the films in the Marvel franchise! I’d say the Harry Potter films too, though I prefer the books to the films. I love anything except horror, and sappy romantic shows.

A piece of advice you wish you’d received when you started working:
It’s always tough before it gets better.
