Tell us about yourself—what do you do?
I’ve dabbled in many professions—I started off from design school, but then I decided I wanted to go into banking. Now I’m helping with my dad with the family business, and thinking about starting a new project.

What’s something you’ve learnt from your dad?
A lot, actually—how to manage money and time, how to invest, and how to calculate things, regardless of what industry you’re in. A lot of anecdotal business-related experiences. Patience, too—he’s very patient, so I’ve learnt that from him. I’m not as patient as him, though.

Somewhere you haven’t been to that you’d like to explore?
I want to visit Mongolia and parts of Russia. I really want to go to the Democratic Republic of Congo, because it’s one of the last places on earth with a lot of untouched wilderness, and I worry that if I don’t go soon, it’ll become gentrified. I really wanted to go to Cuba earlier but then they opened up.

Are you an avid reader?
Not anymore. I used to be, but now I just don’t have the attention span. I do listen to audio books but I’m not good at finishing books. I’ll have five or six unfinished books, and then they start to get really boring, so I’ll pick up something else—that’s how it never ends.

Without worrying about practicality, what’s a business you’d like to start?
I’d like to be a shipping tycoon. You’re in charge of moving things around the world and you’ll have a lot of political implications and influence. That’d be interesting—it sounds like a fun idea, without considering any practicality.
