I’m the business director at Asylum, which is a multi-disciplinary design studio.
This is actually my first and only job; I’ve been with the company for the last 18 years.

Tell us more about your work—what do you do?
I’m not really a creative person, my role has mainly been client-facing—I’ve mostly dealt with account servicing and project management.

What’s the most memorable project you’ve worked on?
The most fun project we did was for Chocolate Research Facility. It was a fun project that we did for ourselves; to let our designers imagine 100 varieties of chocolate bars, and to try designing the packaging for them.

What does your dream home look like?
A penthouse with a big garden, and a swimming pool. Right now, I have a collection of two hundred-odd plants. Part of why I bought my current house was because of its large balcony—I’ve been very busy trying to populate the area with plants. (laughs)

Do you have a favourite plant?
I’d say the Philodendron. There are hundreds or thousands or varieties of them, but their form is very different.  They can come in different sizes, forms, and shapes, and they’re generally quite hardy plants. They can get very large—some varieties of Monstera can grow to huge sizes in the wild. I hope to get a house that can fit such a plant.
