My name is Suffy, and I just graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, where I studied advertising. I’m also a DJ! My DJ name is suff888.

Cool! Is DJing your passion?
Yes, I really love DJing. I’m self-taught actually, and I really look up to Brutalismum 3000 and 2HOT2PLAY.

Love that for you! What kind of music do you listen to?
I listen to a lot of indie and hyper-pop. I really like The Wallows, CASTLEBEAT, and so many more, but these are the two bands right off the top of my head. But when I spin, I usually play bounce.

Diverse! Tell us about your Spotify Wrapped from 2025.
Honestly, I listened to a lot of Tenxi, which I really didn’t expect (laughs). He’s an Indonesian rapper.

Seems we gotta check him out ourselves. Now tell us about your background in advertising—is it something you’d like to pursue now that you’ve graduated?
Yes, I’m definitely going to look for a job in advertising. I mainly do design and videography, but I also freelance as an event photographer since I really enjoy that as well.

A multi-talented queen! What inspires the way you dress?
Honestly, just comfort. I’m trying to explore new looks and stuff because when I was still in school, I didn’t really bother dressing up. Usually I’m in quite masculine fits, so I want to try dressing a bit more feminine. Not too feminine though, just somewhere in between.

Finally, can you share your thoughts on the nightlife scene in Singapore?
Honestly, it’s a hit or miss. Everyone’s busy nowadays, but you know what? Those sober raves and parties are really becoming quite a thing! I haven’t been to one, but hell yeah I would (laughs). I feel like we should all experience it at least once in our lives.
