Introduce yourself!
I’m Jared, a multi-disciplinary creative who just entered the industry. Right now, I’m just trying to navigate my way around, to experience new things and try out different styles. My work ranges from digital social media posts, to shooting videos and doing production. I get to experience a whole spectrum of clients, styles, and design as a whole!

What do you find most rewarding in the work that you do?
For one, it’s seeing your work being put out there in the world. Everybody would love to see their work out there, and if there is a great reception to it, it’s a really nice feeling. It’s also amazing to see the impact it has. Some great digital works, like videos, can really change people’s perceptions, or get them genuinely interested in new things!

If you were given complete creative freedom, what would your dream project look like?
It would definitely be a multi-sensory editorial. I’d love to weave my personal interests together — from avant-garde or gothic fashion to perfumes and old-world apothecaries. The goal would go beyond showcasing an outfit, but to building something that targets the five senses. By diving deep into visual imagery, textures, and scents, I want to explore how sensory experiences can evoke certain memories.

How would you visualise your favourite scent? As a spread in an editorial.

How would you visualise your favourite scent? As a spread in an editorial.
Right now, my favourite scent is a smoky, incense smell. To visualise that as an editorial spread, I’d love to use burnt paper for the pages to really show that enveloping sensory texture. The imagery would be a lot darker, grainier, and noisier to give it a spooky, mysterious vibe. It could feature, for example that dim redness you get from the tips of burning joss sticks. Just that little touch of red can really set the scene.

How did you develop this fascination for the senses, and textures in particular?
It started with a curiosity about designer perfumes like Tom Ford, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton. Their visuals really caught my attention — the way they paired a picture of a super cool guy with notes of tobacco and vanilla. It made me think: what if scents were about world-building? From there, I just kept diving deeper.

I eventually got into how weird and niche scents could get — like metallic notes for something like blood, or even the scent of concrete. Looking into how things were formulated really sparked my interest.
