Old Is Gold

One part of a most giggly and adorable duo, Zi Xiang’s obvious affection towards his girlfriend Rachel (whom we shot here) won us over. The NSman attributes his kooky style (well-worn, aged brogues and cartoon-printed pouch) to her. “Her quirky dress sense brings out the inner grandma in me – that’s my interest in vintage pieces! Old is almost always gold.” He even picked up jewellery making for her. “I wanted to find a new way to surprise Rachel so I took up simple jewellery crafting. Besides, I believe in handcrafting presents for friends and family, it shows more sincerity that way!” Like Rachel, Zi Xiang is also a foodie and is an especially big fan of Eggs Benedict. “The oozing rich goodness is badasss; Sarnies has the best salmon Eggs Benedict.”During weekends, you can either find him playing ultimate frisbee with his semi-pro team, Zero Displacement, or exploring the outskirts of town to develop his amateur photography skills. “It’s a form of self-exploration to get exposed to more sights and sounds.”
