“Family is very important to me. I was very close to my mum before she passed away three years ago—she raised my sister and I as a single parent. Now, my sister has three young sons, and even though I don’t normally like kids, I love being an aunt to my nephews!”

“I’ll be starting university soon, and I’m most excited to make new friends. I do have a close group of friends right now, and I definitely love them, but it's always nice to meet new people and see how they're living different lives, and going through different experiences.”

“I was working in banking since I got my Masters in Business Administration, but I later quit my job to become a stay-at-home mum. Now, I’m considering returning to the workforce. I recently took a course in image consulting and really enjoyed it, so it’ll be nice to give that a try.”

“One of my favourite books is The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. It’s a heart-wrenching retelling of a Greek mythology about two best friends. Once, my mum got woken up by me crying when I was reading it at 3 in the morning, and she was like, “What’s wrong with my child?”.”

“As a paper artist, I try to pick out projects that are in line with what I’m trying to explore, or ones that give me more exposure. But I also have a day job as a designer, so sometimes I have to force myself to pull the brakes instead of just making and making and making!”

“What makes my name, Edoria, special to me is that it’s very close to the names of my sisters—Edrina and Edania—both of whom I’m very close to even though we're very different. I wish there was a cool meaning behind our names, but our dad won’t reveal how or why he chose them!”

“I’m a power plant operator in Tuas. You know lah, parents in the past want their kids to study in fields like engineering, so I decided to give it a try and now, almost a decade later, I’d say I’ve become quite comfortable in this industry which is why I decided to stick with it.”
