A Classic

As an interior designer, Van takes pleasure in getting to meet and interact with different kinds of people, and gets satisfaction from her work by making things beautiful. She’s originally from Vietnam, but moved here to complete her studies and fulfil her dream of becoming an interior designer. After almost a decade of living here, Van names chicken rice as her favourite local dish, particularly the one from Maxwell Food Centre. “It’s so simple but so tasty, with tender chicken and such flavourful rice.” Van describes her personal style as classy, and her outfit today exemplifies that with a classic Breton-striped top and knee-length skirt. When it comes to picking pieces to make an outfit, there is one distinct quality that Van looks out for: “Nothing should need to be ironed,” she says with a sheepish giggle. Thinking about hectic Monday mornings, we couldn’t agree more.
