A Helping Hand

It took quite a bit of convincing to get Alice to agree to having her photo taken, but we couldn’t pass up on the chance to capture an outfit that we really love. It’s hard to ignore her quirky lip-shaped bag, matched by woven pink shoes and a pair of comfortable pants, and offset by a chunky yellow chain necklace. Alice isn’t usually in the area as she’s a veterinarian, tending to animals in a clinic. “I have to change to scrubs when I’m at work, so I tend to keep it simple,” she says. “I’m usually in a t-shirt and jeans when I go to work.” Although being a vet means that Alice often has to work on weekends as well, her love for animals keeps her passionate about what she does. Alice had a dog that passed away not too long ago, and although it’s clear that she misses it dearly, she continues to care for other animals in whatever way she can. Even off work, Alice chooses to spend her time with animals, occasionally doing volunteer work; she most recently headed across the Causeway to help out at a shelter.
