Tell us a bit about what you do for work!
I’m in finance, but what I really love is exploring and travelling.
I last visited Tokyo for work, but I must say my favourite place I’ve ever travelled to is Jordan, where they filmed movies like Dune and The Martian. I felt so free there, and the views were absolutely stunning. The people there are also really, really nice—they kept on feeding me free food all the way! And there were a lot of cats there. Yeah it’s just a really, really lovely place in general.
Are you a big animal lover? Do you have any pets of your own?
I really like cats and would love to have one, but I went to a friend’s place one day and their cat happened to poop, and the smell…oh, I almost puked! I’m not sure if I can handle that in my own home (laughs). I also travel too much and am scared of having cat hair everywhere.
What about food? Tell us about a dish you enjoy eating!
I like bolo buns! In fact, I actually just had one. There’s a stall nearby in the Tanjong Pagar area called Champion Bolo Bun that’s really good—it’s so rich and buttery!
One time, I ordered a bolo bun with a milk tea, and I wanted to get a second bun because it was just that good, so I went up to the counter staff to ask if they knew how many calories were in one bun. They said “Hmm, maybe 100 calories,”, but I didn’t believe them, so I Googled it myself and guess what? It’s 400 calories! (laughs)
Worth the calories, if you ask us! Tell us more about what you’re wearing!
Well, my super comfy sandals are from a department store, and I love them because it feels like I’m walking on flat ground. My accessories are from my travels—Denmark, Norway, and Japan specifically—and fun fact: I got my nails done at a store at Tanjong Pagar MRT during my office’s fire drill the other day!
