Bundle of Joy

Harriet has some happy news — she is expecting her first child, and other than the fact that she’s had to cut back on the alcohol despite being in the F&B business, she’s excited and raring to go. “I’ve already started shopping — it’s hard not to go nuts when you know it’s a girl!” She feels that her style hasn’t had to change too much just yet, and usually opts for uncomplicated, smart-casual outfits with just a hint of sexiness. “I make it a conscious decision to work with black, grey, white, denim, and other colours that compliment my complexion.” Harriet is currently part of the Luxe group, which opened their first overseas branch in Singapore this year. “I love being able to travel back and forth between Singapore and Australia. I’ve previously lived in Hong Kong and Paris, and found both to be such eye opening experiences,” she says. “I think it’s important to travel and explore the world as much as you can before locking yourself into anything. I am very independent and comfortable with who I am because of this.” If she wasn’t working in F&B, Harriet says she would have loved to become a vet, as she loves animals. “I also love the outdoors, and water. I am definitely the adventurous type; I love Sydney’s beaches, and go to Bali a lot as well!” When she isn’t at work or exploring the great outdoors, Harriet is content to cook at home and catch up on movies. “My favourites are action movies and thrillers, but I also love a cheeky horror session every now and then. I also love the Bond movies, from start to finish. Can’t wait until the new one comes out!” Now that she is about to become a mother herself, Harriet cites her parents as the biggest role models in her life. “My mum knows how to do things well and get on with things, while my dad is definitely my hero — for many reasons, besides the fact that he is the strongest and most admirable person I know.”
