Some people have a certain knack for looking as if they don’t need much effort to look well dressed. Shan is one such person, mixing a classic white blouse and tailored shorts combo with—unexpectedly—trainers and socks. “I have a big Nike Flyknits problem,” she confesses. “I keep ebay-ing them to Singapore.” It seems she is a fan of practical shoes, listing the construction, design, and ultra-lightweight aspects of her trainers as some of the reasons why she is obsessed with them. The same attention to detail goes for her Postalco bag, which she loves for its clever craftsmanship. Inspired by the design of bridges, the triangular seams of the bag keep it structured. We caught Shan a few days before she left for San Francisco for work.
