What inspired you to come up with your own clothing label, House of Nell?
My friends and I were always stopped to ask where we got our clothes from, so we decided to get together to make clothes. We take inspiration form Africa, where we come from, and the colours are inspired by elements like Earth and nature.

Any fashion designers that you look up to?
Not really, but I really like Audrey Hepburn’s style. I like people that set trends and are very different. I like Vivienne Westwood too, I think she’s very interesting.

Tell us something interesting about yourself.
Besides my full-time job and clothing business, I also support mothers-to-be by being their birth companion. I do anything from giving them massages, encouragement, and advice about the best things to do for their health during pregnancy, even holding their hand when they’re giving birth; so basically anything they need.

What inspires you to do what you’re doing?
I don’t like being bored, so I try to keep myself busy doing different things.

If you could time travel, which moments would you visit and why?
I’d love to revisit my days in university when things were carefree, and also fast-forward time to find out what’s going to happen in the next five years.

Which three people, living or dead, would you want at your fantasy diner party?
Nelson Mandela, because he did so many interesting things and is a game changer; my grandmother, because she is amazing; and my mom.
