We love what you’re wearing! Tell us more about your style.
I don’t really know how to name my style. Maybe something soft and cute? How I dress depends on my mood, and whether or not I have the time to dress up. Like today, I had some time to do my makeup, so I did!

Very relatable. Where do you usually shop for clothes?
I usually shop online. I do shop a lot physically in my home country, Myanmar, but here in Singapore, I just do it online.

Oh! What brings you to Singapore then?
I came to study—it’s my first year in university. I did travel to Singapore when I was younger, around 12 or 13, so I decided to come back to continue my studies, even though I’ve already graduated from elsewhere. I’m now pursuing a Bachelor’s in interior design.

That’s interesting! Why interior design?
I don’t really know (laughs). I like to draw and paint, and I enjoy creating art in general, but I thought it would be better to pursue something more practical for my future.

What is it like studying and living in Singapore now?
At first I got lost many times (laughs). But I’ve adapted now, so it’s fine. I also mostly spend time in school, doing schoolwork. It’s my first time studying in a foreign country, so I want to do well. The system is very different here, and I want to catch up with my friends in terms of our studies, so I only go out once or twice a week.

All the best! Will you go back to Myanmar after you graduate?
I can’t say for sure because of the situation in my home country—it’s so hard to go back, and I haven’t even gone back during semester breaks. So maybe I’ll find a job here first after I graduate, though I would like to go back to be with my friends and family.
