Well, it’s not everyday we get to see people in Singapore wearing long outerwear, but there Daen was, nonchalantly walking by in a striped jacket that ended just past his knees. To add on to his statement attire, his T-shirt bore a “WTF” slogan, his slip-ons were furry, and his choice of bag, a large silver clutch that glinted brightly in the sun. Naturally, we stopped him for a photo and learned that this fashion enthusiast doesn’t really care what others think about his style. “Generally, I am more impressed and inspired by individuals who have their own point of view and dress like they don’t give a —- ,” he said. One of his favourite brands is local cult label, Depression. “I love their design concept and aesthetics. They push boundaries with each collection, but yet, never compromise on wearability.” Daen has been dreaming a dream of owning his own little fashion haven and recently, finally took the plunge and launched Here & There. “I hope to open up people’s minds and get them to try out different styles, have a little fun playing dress up,” he shared.
