Hot Tropic

I was born in Jamaica and grew up in Toronto, Canada.
I used to play basketball in school, and that’s how I ended up in my program.

What do you miss most about Jamaica?
The food. Jerk chicken, oxtail, curry goat, and rice and peas are all dishes people need to try.

What do you like most about Singapore?
I really like the weather, it reminds me of Jamaica.

Do you miss home a lot?
Definitely, but I try to create a sense of home wherever I go with the people I meet.

What’s a random useless talent you have?
Being able to talk to strangers, though maybe that’s not so useless. (laughs) I can also climb trees—I used to climb mango trees back home.
