Tell us about yourself and where you’re from!
I’m from Indonesia, and I love Britpop. I love the fashion and the music, especially bands like Oasis and Blur—what they wear, I wear.

What’s your favourite Oasis/Blur song?
I love Songbird by Oasis.

When and how did you first get into Britpop?
Every day when I was young, I heard Britpop music from my brother. He’s in a band, and they play covers of songs by Oasis and other British bands, so I’ve been listening to songs like these since I was a child.

Do you play music yourself?
No. I can sing and play instruments, but I don’t make music.

How are you liking Singapore?
I’ve been here a few times, and I like it. The transportation system is very good, unlike Indonesia, where it’s very crowded. I mean, it’s crowded here too, but it’s better-designed.

What inspires you, apart from music?
Painting. I like Van Gogh, and just went to the Van Gogh exhibition in Amsterdam last October.

Did you enjoy it?
Yes. I like to stare at his paintings, so I spent about 15 minutes staring at each painting there. I don’t know why, but it just makes me happy. It’s what I like to do when I need some calming me-time.

So creativity is your outlet for relaxation, we assume?
Yes. Apart from staring at paintings, I also collect vinyls. The latest one I’ve added to my collection is one by The Beatles.
