Old Soul

Tell us something interesting about yourself.
I like vintage stuff. I feel like I’m an old soul in a young body; I love visiting ancient historical sites and re-tracing the steps people took centuries ago. I recently visited a temple in Chiang Mai that was hundreds or a thousand years old. My mum is from Chiang Mai, and I love the nature and scenery there. It’s only a short three hour flight from Singapore.

What’s good to eat in Chiang Mai?

Khao soi. It’s a northern Thai laksa. There’s a version of it in Golden Mile Food Centre, but it’s not authentic.

Any upcoming trips planned?
Bali, to see the beach and temples. Bangkok as well—Chatuchak Weekend Market is perfect for vintage shopping.

A book I’d recommend:
Rama IX: The Life and Legacy of King Bhumibol Adulyadej. It’s a biography of the Thai king who recently passed away.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be and how would you use it?
Fly, so I can fly to different countries without having to pay for plane tickets!
