How would you describe your sense of style?
Assured. I’m quite a conscious shopper, and I don’t usually follow trends. I think what I go for is something more chic but also a little more sophisticated. I like adding streetwear elements as well, so for me it’s about trying to find my own personal style.

What’s a staple item in your wardrobe?
Blazers, blazers, blazers. And tailored pants. Those are my wardrobe staples, but on more “off-duty” days, I’d say maybe a white shirt and denim jeans? I don’t think you can go wrong with that, but I don’t think I can function without my blazers.

Advice you’d give your younger self:
Spend more time with your family. When you’re adulting, you tend to spend more time on your duties and running errands. I used to think that family time wasn’t really that important but I really cherish time now with my family and close friends. Your social circle gets smaller and smaller as time goes by, but I think that’s natural. I think it’s a matter of your priorities changing as well.

Is there anything adventurous you’re hoping to do before the year ends?
To me, personally, something adventurous I’m hoping to do is getting my driving licence. I’m currently applying, but I’m actually very scared of the roads, especially when I’m behind the wheel. When I see people drive, it seems so effortless, but that doesn’t seem to be the case for me personally.

What would you say is your comfort food?
Soupy stuff. When you think of soupy stuff, you think of something softer, and it soothes whatever I’m feeling at the moment. So whether I’m sad or whether it’s pouring, it calms me down.

Describe your dream wedding cake to us:
I’ve always wanted those cakes you see at old-school bakeries under HDB blocks: the kind with cream frosting, and a surprise in the center. I’ve actually never thought too in-depth about this, but now that you’ve asked me, it’s something I’m definitely going to be thinking about.
