Unflappable

Having worked in advertising for 15 years, what’s a piece of advice you’d give to someone who wants to enter the industry?
To not give up, and be tenacious. It’s not easy to succeed in advertising, but I think the important thing is to explore the world, get inspired by the good work that’s out there, and keep trying.

What inspires you?
It could be anything. If you’re willing to look at it in a positive light, even pain can be an inspiration.

What motivates you to keep doing what you do, day in and day out?
Passion. If you’re doing something you love, it won’t feel like a job.

What are some things you can’t live without in your wardrobe?
Black and simple, solid colours. I’m not one for prints, and I don’t accessorise much, but I like earrings.

Is there somewhere you’d like to travel to?
I’d like to go somewhere with a lot of wildlife. I also love ancient ruins—it’s quite an experience, seeing something that was once great and thinking about what it was like.
