Originally from France, Marine has been living and working in Singapore for 1 1/2 years. We caught her engrossed in her book on Chinese history, a topic that she says she’s been interested in of late. As with her fellow countrywomen, Marine embodies that certain je ne sais quoi that so many try to replicate, but never fully emulate. We see it in her crisp fitted skirt, that, while is at a mid-thigh length, still comes across as tasteful and not obscene; it is balanced by a long-sleeved, loosely fitted shirt, sensible shoes and a simple bag. Marine says she frequents high-fashion label Zara for most of her purchases, although her bracelet was a gift from her mother. Perhaps that’s where she got her good taste and sense of style from, as well? “Maybe!” she laughs, and it’s hard not be charmed.
