Satisfaction

A wide-neck striped shirt, ripped jeans, and patent booties — Jasmine’s casual Friday outfit manages to channel fun while staying work-appropriate. Originally from Malaysia, Jasmine has been working in Singapore for the past 5–6 years. While she misses her family, she says that she loves our clean, cosmopolitan city, as well as the safety it offers, and so she sees herself residing here permanently. Jasmine is currently working in sales for a furniture company, and although it’s not quite where she would’ve imagined herself to be, she enjoys her job immensely and would not trade it for anything. “I could do something else, I guess, but I like my job and at the moment there’s nothing I want to try.” Indeed, it seems like her job has led to an increasing interest in furniture design: in her free time, Jasmine enjoys surfing the web or visiting various furniture stores to check out unique and special pieces.
