Something interesting about me:
I have a lot of tattoos, but for professional reasons, I have to hide them. They are both a blessing and a disadvantage—it’s troublesome because I have to cover them up with a cardigan or blazer at work, but at the same time it helps me to separate work from my personal time because I can express myself via the way I dress once I’m not working.

I have nine tattoos in total.
I usually get them done over the years, and the first one that I got was ten years ago. The next one I’m going to get is a rag doll design as a birthday gift to myself.

Do your tattoos have any meanings?
One of them is a painting by Salvador Dalí called The Burning Giraffe, which he created during the period of the Spanish Civil War, inspired by Sigmund Freud’s studies on psycho-analysis. I love works by Dalí, as well as Sigmund Freud’s theories on sub-conscience and the ego. Hence I feel that this tattoo perfectly represents a combination of things that I’m passionate about.

Where do you get your inspiration from?
I like art, and specifically, I like to read about the creative process of paintings as well as visual and conceptual arts.

My favourite book:
The books I like have very tragic storylines. There’s this book that I love, Seven Types of Ambiguity by Elliot Perlman, which is about seven people’s lives that are different yet similar in very unfortunate and parallel ways.
