On The Move

We’ve been seeing more and more people choosing alternative modes of transport of late—from skateboards and bicycles to the more recently ubiquitous motorised and self-balancing scooters, there’s no shortage of ways to get to your destination. The trouble is, as always, what to wear—especially when any form of exertion in this heat and humidity often means you arrive at said destination looking like a harried, sweaty mess. We’re not saying you need to dress in activewear for these journeys; perhaps the secret lies in choosing breathable fabrics and loose clothing, and bringing along additional outerwear or accessories to dress up a little upon arrival. For example, a cotton t-shirt and knee-length shorts make for great cycling gear, paired with a linen jacket and maybe a hat to tame any windswept hair. The key is always to dress smart by marrying style and function; take some cues from these Shentonistas.
