Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m the founder of Fuzzie, a mobile startup that gives instant cashback to people. Basically we’re on a mission to help people stretch their dollar in the easiest way possible, and Fuzzie is that tool to help you achieve that.
Something people don’t really know about me:
I really like Japanese music. One of my favourite bands is Radwimps, and one of my favourite songs of theirs was featured in the animated movie Your Name.
If you could organise a fantasy dinner with anyone, who are three people you’d invite, and why?
Henry Ford, because he’s a business legend and he basically invented the automotive industry. There are lots of questions I’d want to ask him about entrepreneurship. The second would be Albert Einstein—he’s a mad genius but I want to know what he does in his spare time. And honestly, the third is Donald Trump. He was bankrupt at one point and owed people a billion dollars, but then he made the greatest comeback of all time. I’d ask him how he felt when he was bankrupt, and how he overcame that.
What do you do in your free time?
Mostly I conceptualise about how I can expand Fuzzie, it’s consuming all of my time. I see the business as a way to create an impact on society, so there’s nothing else I’d rather be doing.
Most memorable trip:
I was alone in South Korea about three years ago to see migratory birds—none of my family members wanted to join me. I was wandering around an eco-park in Busan when I bumped into a Korean family and just started chatting with them because there was no one else around. They gave me a lift in their car and out of the blue, they asked me to marry their daughter, even though that was the first time I had met them, so that was quite memorable.
