What have you learned in your time working in advertising?
There’s no right or wrong in creative work. No matter what your role is in an agency, at the end of the day, you have to be a creative at heart. I’ve also learned not to take things too seriously, because the best ideas sometimes come from jokes and having fun.
Where do you find inspiration?
Everywhere. You can get inspired from seeing art or going to exhibitions, or it can come from silly things like cat videos.
What’s a movie you watched recently?
Deadpool 2. It was fun, I liked that it was a different take on the superhero genre. He’s really more of an ordinary person who gets stuck in strange situations.
If you could switch lives with anyone for a day, who would it be?
Donald Trump, so I could undo all his decisions. It’s quite disturbing to imagine someone in his position, with that amount of power, doing all the things he’s doing.
Guilty pleasures:
Mindlessly shopping! Trying on clothes is also a way for me to get inspired. Some people have a plan of what they want to buy when they go out, but I like to just walk into a shop and try on what I like. It’s not always practical—I once bought a winter jacket on a whim, but I only got a chance to wear it when I travelled to Japan at the start of this year.
