You were working in London for a few years. What was the first local food you ate after your return to Singapore?
My dad’s hokkien mee.

We know you cycle a fair bit: what’s one route you’d recommend?
Pasir Ris to Coney Island through the Lorong Halus wetlands. Coney Island has beautiful forest trails and plenty of wildlife to spot, such as owls, herons, monkeys, and dragonflies.

What has been your most memorable shoot experience till date?
I’m presently working on a long-term photographic project on fumigations titled White Noise. Some of my other memorable shoots include: shooting the band Lucky Soul for their album Hard Lines, and capturing the shadow puppet crafters in Xi’an, China.

Describe yourself as a genre of music.
Lo-fi post rock.

What’s something you wish you knew when you were 20?
As a creative, to be innovative in how you put your career together. There is no straight route that’s set for you—part of the creativity is making your own path.

Share with us more about a personal project you’d like to embark on someday:
That would be to organise a residency or gallery space which allows artists to collaborate, take risks and experiment with new techniques.

If you could do something wild, it’d be:
Learning how to pilot an airplane.
