Introduce yourself!
I’m Cedrick, and I’m a student waiting for poly to start. I’m going to be studying biomedical science, which has always been an interest of mine. I’m hoping to pursue medicine after this as my dream is to be a cardiothoracic surgeon.

What sparked this interest in medicine?
My mum and Grey’s Anatomy—I was a big fan! But sadly I’m not too caught up now as I stopped watching it last year.

If you could study anything else in the world, what other courses would you like to pursue?
I would definitely pursue either psychology or mass communications! I’ve always had an affinity for language and learning what makes us who we are as people, so I think these courses would suit me well.

Outside of school, what do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy walking around town and exploring the city, reading, and dressing up. I’ve also been dabbling in poetry writing, but I’m not that good at it yet (laughs).

What are you reading right now?
I’m currently reading A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara. I just started on it, so so far, so good!

Can you share some of your favourite places to shop at?
Of course! My go-to spots are TWOWORLDS and TWON at Golden Landmark, PLOP at Haji Lane (which has sadly closed down) and UN.WASTELANDS at Queensway Shopping Centre.

I find that these stores carry a wide enough selection of pieces that fit my current style, yet also give me the chance to pick pieces that are outside of my comfort zone when I want to be a bit more experimental!

What are some things you’d like to achieve this year?
Honestly, one of my biggest goals for this year is to get a good GPA, preferably above 3.5. School has always been important to me, so I’m excited to see what poly will bring!
