Tell us more about what you do for work!
I’m a designer working in an agency and I’ve been doing this for a long time. I studied graphic communications in school, so I’d say that this is something I’ve always wanted to pursue.

In another life, what do you think you’d be doing for work?
I’d be a stylist, professional crocheter, or musician, sinceI’m secretly a frustrated singer/songwriter right now (laughs).

Being a professional crocheter sounds fun! Is this a longtime hobby of yours?
Not really! I only picked it up last year, but the biggest item I’ve made since is a colourful long-sleeved top. It only took me about one to two weeks to make it because I was unemployed and had all the time in the world back then.

What else do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love travelling! One of my favourite places to visit is Melbourne, though I don’t travel there as often as I’d like. It’s hands down my favourite city in Australia because of the vibes and nice people. The thrift shopping scene and local art and design markets are so good too!

Where else do you recommend thrifting, in Singapore or otherwise?
Peace Centre used to be my go-to spot in Singapore, but otherwise I’d say Bangsue Junction in Bangkok, Thailand, is a great place to thrift—not so much for clothes, but for homeware (laughs).

What are some of your goals for the year?
I’d like to explore new countries and live life at a slower pace. Greece, Portugal, and Morocco are on my list!
