Reyme’s friends have a funny nickname for him: “They call me Lana Del Reyme, because I love her music.” Putting his Fashion Communication studies on hold while he is NS, he plans to go back to school to complete his degree once he’s done. For now, though, he is happy working in the SAF’s media team, doing layouts and writing for their own publication. It seems that NS has taught him some life skills as well. “Nowadays, I don’t take very long to get ready. Army has taught me well, especially the 5-minute changing parades that they made us do everyday.” He says his look today is minimal and effortless, whereas a partying outfit would consist of more black and gold. “Being in fashion taught me a lot of things. You can be a textbook fashionista or a creative individual who follows your own style choices. All in all, it’s the clothes that you wear that define how you feel. If you look good, you feel good, no matter what anyone says!”
