Do you have a skincare tip that you’d like to share with everyone?

Actually not so much a tip, but you need to always remember to hydrate yourself, especially in cold weather. And even though we’re in a humid climate, you still need to moisturise—a lot of people forget to moisturise so they think they have oily skin, but it’s actually dry.

What’s your go-to place for good food?

The Black Swan. I used to work part-time there.

What are some of your favourite comfort foods?

Bak Chor Mee. (laughs) It’s one of my favourite comfort foods—after I return from a trip, that’s what I feel like eating.

Most memorable trip:

I think it would be when I went to the United States recently, because I brought my in-laws and my son over when he was barely one. That was a very memorable trip because we had to travel so far with a less than one-year-old infant. It was very fun though; we all enjoyed ourselves. Although we went to New York, where it was more lively, we actually enjoyed ourselves more in San Francisco, because that was where we bonded better.

What’s one thing that parenthood has taught you so far?

Wear comfortable shoes all the time. (laughs) I realised, with a child, you can’t really wear heels whenever you have to carry him, so it’s very troublesome. I’ve been wearing flats for a very long time now. Previously, I was more of a stilettos girl, but all my heels are in a ‘museum’ now.

What’s the best decision you have ever made?

To start using proper skincare. Not that I had much of an issue, but my skin was just very dry. I started putting in more effort when I was heavily pregnant and I put on like 20kg. I felt very bad about myself, so the least I could do was to make sure my skin was better. That’s when I joined my mum’s company; previously, I just used some of the skincare products, but now I use the entire range.
