A Second Chance

If I could live in a movie, it would be:
We Bought A Zoo. Animals make me smile; they’re so innocent. My boyfriend and I recently adopted a rescue dog, Tomi, and she’s the best thing that’s ever happened to us. When she first came to our place, she was so sad and terrified, and it took a week for her to trust us and allow us to pat her. Now, she’s so happy with us—it’s been an amazing journey. #AdoptDontShop

Thing(s) that I can’t live without in my wardrobe/on my dresser:
White shirts, jeans, scarves, and black sneakers!

My most memorable trip was to:
Europe, solo, for three weeks in 2014. I went to France and Madrid but my bag got stolen in Paris so I had no money and no phone. I had to couch surf throughout the trip and as a result, I met many people and made good friends. That was so much fun and I’ll never forget that.

How I came to be doing what I’m doing now:
Advertising was something I’d been interested in since I was a teenager—it always seemed like a fun, passion-driven job, but I wasn’t lucky enough to get into the industry after I graduated. Instead, I came to Singapore and joined a pharmaceutical company. I kept thinking that it wasn’t what I wanted to do, but I couldn’t just leave, and I wasn’t able to leave my comfort zone. But one day I just decided—I booked my ticket to go home to Seoul. But the day before my departure, my friend called me and asked if I would be interested in joining her advertising agency.  So I came back to Singapore in a month and I’ve been working in advertising since then.
