Tell us more about what you do for work!
I’m a travel agent, specifically for business travel. What we do is we help to plan the business trips for all types of companies here in Singapore.

How long have you been in this industry?
I’ve been doing this for 26 years! I started as an intern after I finished my O levels, and then I went back to school to get a diploma, and I’ve been here in this industry ever since.

COVID must have taken quite a toll on business in the industry.
Yes, we were affected and became less busy. We were worried about what our future would be like in the industry, but thank God, it’s over.

How has business travel changed since then?
People are more conscious about travelling, but I think it’s quite stable now after a few years, and we do see more people travelling as per normal now.

Do you personally travel very often for leisure?
Yes, but only short trips because I have furry friends at home! I have two tabby cats—one is eight years old, and the other is five.

That’s cute! Have you always been a cat person?
Not really. I only became one after I got married. My husband is the one who’s always loved cats, so he got me into it too.
