What’s new in your life since the last time we spoke?
I dress in more colourful clothes now! I think the maximalist trend right now balances out the gloomy feelings that we’re having because of the war and genocide—when I wear more colours, I find that I’m more easygoing and smile more.

Apart from that, I was in my first year of university back then, but now I’m in my second year, and it’s actually easier and more chill than the first. We’ve been creating campaigns for a workwear brand in Singapore, as well as our own micro-businesses to learn how to attract investors.

Cool! Now that you’re halfway through school, do you have any idea what you’d want to do after graduating?
Yes, for now I’m writing for a fashion magazine in Vietnam, but in the futures I would want to turn this more into a research type of thing, probably going into historical research on fashion. I’m also intending to pursue my masters in France, somewhere outside of Paris.

Ooh la la, why France?
Actually, people have been warning me about the lack of safety in France, but I think since I’ve already experienced the safety in Singapore, I’ll just give it a try (laughs).

Well, here’s wishing you all the best! These days, how do you spend your time outside of school?
I usually write blogs. I’m currently running a fashion research blog for my future portfolio, and I post about my weekly trend research and trend forecasts. Sometimes I also include humour and sarcastic jokes in my posts (laughs).

Send us the link—we’d love to read it! Where do you generally get your information or content inspiration from?
I usually talk to people who are already working in the field, and also, I will say that I use AI, but only for research—please don’t use generative AI! I also don’t just stick to reading through current articles, but also search back to times like the 1980s to see how trends have changed over time.
