How did you end up doing what you’re doing?
Honestly, it’s just pure luck. I was in the food & beverage industry previously before getting this job through LinkedIn.
Tell us something interesting about yourself.
I keep a journal, and it’s a habit that I’ve had since I was 16. I write when there are interesting events happening in my life, as well as when I need an outlet to vent my thoughts. I feel very relaxed when I journal—it’s like having someone to speak to, and it’s therapeutic.
My favourite book:
The Witch of Portobello by Paulo Coelho. I normally find time to read after work, and I’m running out of books to read! I like to read books for the lessons and wisdom I can take away, and not just the storyline. I’ll pick out quotes and write them down in my diary as well, so that when I feel down, I’ll read my diary to get some comfort and inspiration.
Tell us more about your tattoo.
I got this last year, and it’s my second one. To me, tattoos are an outlet for expression. These skulls represent my daughter and I; it’s a bit morbid but the writing in Latin means “always and forever”.
If you had all the time in the world to do one thing, what would it be and why?
I think it’s pretty common, but I’d like to travel the world, starting with Europe.
