Banded

We can’t quite say what it was about Luke that first caught our eye: the full, bushy beard (in this sweltering heat, no less), or the glint of gold on his sneakers as he walked by. Perhaps he’s already become accustomed to our weather, having moved here 6 years ago from Sydney, although he does say that he still misses his hometown. He keeps the rest of his look cool by opting for a loose-fitting white shirt with a contrasting collar and colour-blocked panel —  without the horizontal band, the shirt would have veered on the side of boring. He balances out the proper, buttoned-up top with a pair of cuffed, black jeans, and with a pair of well-worn sneakers, sans socks. It works because Luke’s look is a play of contrasts.
