Why the change from interior design, which was what you studied, to what you’re doing now?
It happened at a time when I was unemployed for a few months. The job market I had wanted to enter was rather niche, and they were not looking to hire. I saw it as an opportunity to pursue what was then my interest, and with the reassurance of my girlfriend, I decided to take a leap of faith, so here I am.
What’s something you wish you had more time to be doing, or that you think you should be doing more of?
Exercise, definitely. Not to just look good (or be healthy) but also for general fitness and wellness of the body. I’ve been doing a bit of indoor climbing but I feel that I should devote a little more time to it. Besides that, I haven’t been on vacation with my whole family for over a decade, so I think that being able to do that would be great for family bonding. Apart from that, I also wish I had gone ahead with developing my sub-interest in craftwork: creating dioramas and generally making stuff out of clay.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be and how would you use it?
The ability to be at different places at the same time. I would split myself into several identical copies and then do all the things that I want but have no time for.
Watching and re-watching favourite movies, sitcoms, and B-grade horror flicks. My favourite movie series so far would be Harry Potter—it just doesn’t ever seem to bore me!
Favourite comfort food(s) to eat:
Cereal and bread. There’s just something about it that feels very comforting, perfect before a nap on a Sunday afternoon. Beyond that, chocolate helps too.
