If Jennie could speak to her 16-year-old self, she’d tell herself to enjoy her high-school days to the fullest, instead of drowning in tuition classes. “‘Work hard and play hard,’ I’d say.” Heeding her own advice, Jennie has her mind set on travelling the world this year. “I just can’t get enough of seeing and absorbing new things, and getting inspired,” she says. In fact, if Jennie weren’t in her current profession, she would love to be a tour guide. “Travelling around the world, learning about new cultures and meeting new people are the best things to do!” Perhaps it’s her interest in new sights and visuals that led her to her current occupation; Jennie is currently in interior design, translating her inspirations into physical spaces. In her free time, Jennie enjoys reading romance novels and watching movies, her favourite kind being those of the superhero sort. Family is important to her as well, and, perhaps in line with her favourite movie genre, she cites her father as her personal superhero. “He’s also my best advisor,” shares Jennie. “He once told me that it’s impossible to please everybody in the world, so just be yourself and do things in your own way.”  It seems that Jennie has kept that close to her heart, making the best of each situation and living by her personal philosophy: “Always have a positive mindset, because it will bring the best out of you.”
