Having lived in Singapore and Australia, what would you say is the biggest difference between life here and in Australia?
I’d say it’s the culture. Life in Australia is a lot slower, and people are in less of a rush to do things. The way people dress is also quite different—people in Australia are generally more dressed-down and casual.

Describe your ideal weekend.
I haven’t had one in a long time! (laughs) I’ll sleep in, maybe have a late breakfast, do a bit of shopping and do nothing all day. My favourite breakfast spot is Pacamara Boutique Coffee Roasters in Thomson.

What’s the difference in the coffee culture between here and Australia?
You hardly see Starbucks and chain stores in Australia—there are a lot of Italian immigrants in Australia, so the coffee’s really good because everything’s done traditionally.

What are some things you can’t live without in your wardrobe?
A good pair of heels, nice earrings, and accessories. I like to mix and match, if I have a white dress on, I might wear a bright blue necklace for some contrast.

What’s something not many people know about you?
I have a secret collection of Hello Kitty things. It’s not just the soft toys, I have a bit of everything.

A quote or philosophy you live by:
Always expect the unexpected.
