If you could describe yourself in three emojis, what would they be?
🌶️ – I can’t imagine a life without chilli. I even take sambal belacan on my travels sometimes. My mother’s nickname for me is also chilli padi.
🐈 – I love cats.
🌈 – It symbolises hope!

What’s something on your bucket list that you’re hoping to tick off soon?
I’d like to complete a full marathon this year. I have been working my way up to it, having completed shorter running events in 2019. The only thing getting in the way of my goal is my bad left knee! 

As a kid, what had been your dream occupation?
I wanted to be a news anchor—I do work in news now, so let’s see!

If you could change something in the society that you live in, what would it be?
I’d like to see a world that embraces differences: evaluating people for who they really are and how they treat others, and not by things like skin colour, gender or sexual orientation.

What’s something that should be taught in schools that currently isn’t?
Financial literacy! I was clueless when I entered the workforce. 

If you could choose to explore just one planet or satellite within our solar system, which would you choose?
Phobos – the larger of Mars’ two moons. Fun fact: I’ve actually explored it in a nightmare in which I was running away from something. Incidentally, Phobos means fear or panic.
