Cool Comfort
What have you been up to recently?
Just work. Work can either be really hectic or chill; I’ve moved into a new role, in Corporate Banking.
What’s something we don’t already know about you?
I actually lived in Melbourne for eight years—I did high school there and went back for university, so I consider Melbourne my home. I’m not travelling much this year but I’m going back there for a friend’s wedding.
Things to do and see in Melbourne:
Melbourne is best known for great coffee, amazing brunch, a thriving music and art scene and beautiful beaches! The last time I went back, I checked out this place called Feast of Merit for brunch and it was amazing; I also like the brunch at Three Bags Full and Industry Beans. For coffee, I like Axil Coffee Roasters and ST. ALi. There will also always be some exhibition running at the National Gallery of Victoria worth checking out. My favourite beach in Melbourne is Squeaky Beach (the sand squeaks as you walk) but it’s quite a drive out. You can also take a day trip to Yarra Valley for some wine tasting. Now I can’t wait for my trip back this April!
People don’t know this, but I…
Can speak Japanese.
If I could do anything other than what I’m doing now, I’d…
Open a tea house.
