Introduce yourself!
I’m Vin and I’m 24 years old. I’m a medic in NS right now.

We hear you’re interested in fashion, which is why you’re involved in Anteiku Studios alongside Mike and AJ. Can you tell us more about when and how you got into it?
I wouldn’t say it’s a general interest, it was more of me liking clothes and wanting to collect them. Eventually I amassed so much clothes and didn’t know how to clear them. That’s how I got started in Anteiku. Before that, I was part of Concept Market with other friends.

What are some of your other interests and hobbies?
I guess Gundam (laughs). My friends and I here at Anteiku love building Gundams. There’s a lot of Gundam stuff all over the store and Rocks Cafe. We all build our own things that we like, so for me, I have an entire set of the Neon Genesis Evengelion Gundams!

It’s so nice to have common interests with your friends! What do you like most about building Gundams?
Yeah we just get together, lock in, and build Gundams! Eventually it became a part of Anteiku’s aesthetic. Anyway what I like most about it is building it and touching it. The clicking is so satisfying!

Did you watch the anime as well?
Yes! I even watched the summary which was about three to four hours long! But currently my favourite anime is Gachiakuta. I was reading the manga before the anime dropped, and I would say it’s a pretty good adaptation. Though my all-time favourite anime will always be Neon Genesis Evangelion.

What are your New Year’s resolutions for 2026?
I’m going to ORD this year, so I hope to go back to school. I’m looking at Nanyang Technological University’s Art, Design, and Media (ADM) course. But because I’m a medic, I’m also interested in healthcare, though I don’t know how that would go. I mean, everyone wanted to be a doctor at some point in their lives, right? But I think as a medic, it kind of sparked that interest again.

Why ADM then?
Because I do graphic design on the side. Before enlisting, I was doing design at an agency, so we did advertising for corporate clients, and before that, I was working with Sanrio and Disney—cutesy cutesy stuff. I’ve been doing design for a while since I studied marketing in Temasek Polytechnic, but regardless of the route I take, I just want to pursue higher studies after NS.

Final question—tell us about your tattoos!
I have about 40 tattoos. On one side, it’s a collection of tattoos from different countries. I got one in Singapore from a good friend and neighbour of ours back when Anteiku was at Pearl’s Hill Terrace. Another one is from Korea. The artist recently came to Singapore, but I wasn’t able to get another one from them since I was in NS. Another one is from China which is one of my most recent ones. The artist is from Hangzhou, so I went there specifically to get this one done. The rest are just patchwork tattoos in different styles. I’ll fill them up eventually, though I haven’t really thought about it.
