What are you currently doing?
I just graduated from university and am currently unemployed. University was tough, but I’m looking for a job now, and that’s way tougher.
What’s the best decision you’ve ever made?
Going on my university exchange to Thailand for 6 months. While I did my exchange in Bangkok, but I suggest visiting the Mae Rim district located at the north of Chiangmai. It’s more scenic and surrounded by nature and there’s a lot to do like hiking up Doi Suthep, or spending time with the elephants (the loveliest creatures on Earth!) at elephant camps.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten?
To be kind to people no matter what because it’s a reflection of who you are.
What’s something you wish you had more time to be doing?
Exploring the world outside truly fascinates me. I wish I had more time to immerse myself in the different cultures of the world, and maybe even be able to offer something back to society while I’m at it. Traveling is something I would love to be doing more of right now, but there are other less expensive ways for me to learn about these different cultures—through foreign films and documentaries, picking up new languages, discovering recipes from different places.
Tell us about someone you’re most proud of and why.
I cannot be more proud to be my Mum’s daughter. On the outside, my mother is gentle, soft spoken and at times too kind. Some may think she’s weak, but on the inside, she is as tough as steel. It’s almost as if nothing can break her. I have seen her go through some extremely tough moments where if I had been in her position, I would have crumbled to tiny bits.
Describe your dream home.
My dream home needs to be cosy, with enough space for everyone, has nice natural light flowing in with furniture and decor in natural and neutral tones—basically a place that I’d enjoy every waking and sleeping moment. Not to forget, a walk-in wardrobe for all my existing (and future) clothes, shoes, bags and accessories!
